CELLCRETE : Lightweight Foamed and Aerated Concrete Technology
Introducing a specified volume of Micro Bubbles into a cement-based mixture creates Cellcrete. By using MAGNAFOAMER Foaming Agent, water and compressed air, and introducing the three products simultaneously into our specialized foam generation systems, the desired expansion is created and added into the cement at a pre-determined amount to acquire the appropriate density of the Cellcrete that is needed for the application.
MAGNAFOAMER has an extremely strong bubble structure and can be used with both high and low pH water without loss of entrained air at great heights or long distance pumping. Weight reductions from 10% - 90% of over standard weight concrete can be achieved.
These mixtures may contain high amounts of flyash, woodash, crusher dust, Kiln dust and other powdered waste materials and by-products, to reduce the cost of placement. They may also utilize waste by-products from the Mining Industry such as refuse, tailings, silt and bull dust. The Cellcrete is manufactured and mixed with our Job Specific Colloidal and Continuous Mixers and can also be produced with ready mix units and portable foam generation systems that we manufacture.
Characteristics and Properties
CELLCRETE has good mechanical strength along with excellent insulation values over a large range of densities.
Some of the benefits of using the product include:
-
Rapid and simple manufacture and placement.
-
Very low cost compared to other methods and companies producing similar products or lightweight concrete.
-
Handling and transport costs are greatly reduced.
-
Reduced operational costs and low equipment maintenance.
-
Machines specifically built for the customers' needs.
-
Most advanced and highest foam expansion rates in the Industry.
-
Provides good Thermal Insulation Properties.
-
Reduces the density of the material.
-
Increases the slump to reduce the water:cement ratio.
-
Eliminates “Bleed Water”.
-
Increases pumping distances significantly with many styles of pumps.
-
Improves the resistance to freeze-thaw attrition.
-
Water:cement Ratios as low as .35:1 can be reached.
-
Low cost for equipment investment.
-
Weight reductions from 10-90% over standard concrete mixes.
-
Water absorption is low, due to the “Closed Cellular Structure”.
-
Reduction in required manpower over competitive systems.
-
Can be used for pre-cast blocks and stoppings.
-
Can be “Self Stacking” with reduced water in the mixture.
-
Can be used for “Tilt-up” walls and floors.
-
Can be sawn by hand, carved, sculpted, water-cut and chiseled easily for access thru walls and blocks in ventilation stoppings.
-
Can be pumped long distances for remote placement in mines, tunnels, auger holes, highwall miner cuts, subsidence areas and void fills.
-
Takes advantage of the use of high amounts of waste by-product materials to lower finished costs to the end user.
-
Can be used as a quick, low cost alternative to inert gases for putting out mine fires and sealing off “HotSpots” from the surface in mine fires.
-
Reduces manual labour needed for constructing pillars, roof support cribs and stoppings in mines.
-
Machines can be made from 5-1100GPM to suit the needs of every operator.
