Both ConCrib and CanCrib are yield pillar systems created by filling an inflatable form or steel form with low density cellular grout. The grout is pumped into the form to create a support between the floor of the mine and the contour of the mine roof. The form fills to the contour to avoid point loading on the pillar.
Both ConCrib CanCrib can be used as a pillar support in longwall mining applications to support entry gateroads
prior to and during mining operations. ConCrib
forms can be either round or rectangular and are
custom built to desired dimensions.
CanCribs are round, bolt together structures with heavy liners, that are available in diameters up to 2 meters and can be built to any height required by the operator.
Both systems are used as supplementary roof support during de-pillaring and decommissioning.
ConCrib is used as a stopping or bulkhead system when blocking off or redirecting ventilation flow
between rooms and pillars.
